What is the LWG Gold Certification?
The Leather Working Group is an internationally recognised body that audits tanneries against rigorous environmental and social standards. Gold status — the highest tier — is awarded only to facilities that demonstrate exemplary performance across water management, chemical usage, energy consumption, and traceability.
What this means for our clients
For the fashion brands we work with, this certification provides the documentation and third-party verification increasingly required by retailers, consumers, and regulators worldwide. Every skin processed through our Chennai facility can be traced back to its origin with full documentation.
